As soon as you come through the door we hope you will love the cottage. The decoration style is contemporary but also fits into the age of the house with quirky wall art and colour scheme. The hallway has a cupboard under the stairs with a radiator to dry out wet coats after a walk down the river or just to the local pub. The control for the heating is here and it easy to control the heating and keep the cottage cosy and warm.
We have been adding a range of paintings to the cottage and especially looking for views of Lyme and the area. We found a painting which was painted in 1925 for the Lynch which is the walkway from the Mill in Lyme. The artist is not recorded but this was common as the Dorset coast was a popular place for painting tours in the 1920’s and 30’s.
We loved the walk to Cannington Viaduct and found a railway poster from the 1920’s which we had copied and put up in the hallway. Follow the walk here It’s a 20 minutes stroll.
